01 / OUR PRINCIPLES
BAAS prohibits bribery, improper benefits and concealed conflicts of interest. Intermediaries must be identifiable, and their services and fees must be legitimate, proportionate and documented.
Each proposed activity must be assessed against the applicable product classification, export, import, transit, sanctions and end-use rules. Where required, brokering, technical assistance and re-export are included. A regulated activity may proceed only within the scope of the licences and approvals applicable to it. Sanctions assessment must address relevant ownership and control as well as the named parties.
Restricted equipment is subject to the legal eligibility and authority of the acquiring organisation and end user. Parties must provide accurate identity, authority, relevant ownership, destination and intended-use information. End-user documents must meet the competent authority’s requirements. Unresolved discrepancies or requests to bypass controls require suspension of the affected step pending clarification.
BAAS’s role and the scope of the proposed supply must be clear in the written transaction documents. Product configuration, manufacturer and origin information, applicable permissions and onward-transfer conditions must be accurately documented and available to authorised parties where required. BAAS branding does not alter a product’s origin or the disclosure requirements of the transaction.
Specifications, availability, delivery and contractual requirements must be confirmed for the selected configuration. Licensing and authorisation documents are considered according to their scope and validity. Relevant transaction records must be retained for applicable legal periods, with appropriate access controls. A change in parties, destination or end use requires reassessment of the affected requirements.
Send only information necessary for the initial enquiry. Personal data, sensitive business records and controlled technical material require a suitable exchange channel and consideration of access and transfer restrictions. Do not send classified information through public enquiry tools or Ask BAAS. Contact BAAS before transmitting sensitive attachments.
02 / DOCUMENTATION
Contact BAAS for the documentation applicable to your enquiry, including its scope and validity.
Request the conduct requirements relevant to the proposed relationship, including intermediary services, fees and conflicts of interest. Identify any policy or contractual requirement that needs to be agreed.
Confirm the destination, end user, intended use and the declarations or approvals required by the competent authorities. Document any restrictions on onward transfer, re-export or changes of use.
Request the relevant licensing, authorisation and product documentation, including scope and validity, through the appropriate exchange channel.
03 / PRACTICAL GUIDANCE
The product, configuration, destination, end user and BAAS role define the enquiry. Supply requirements and applicable approvals are addressed for that transaction. Restricted products are for legally eligible organisations and authorised end users; browsing the catalogue does not establish a visitor’s eligibility.
Contact BAAS and identify the relevant product, destination and business relationship. The applicable documentation, scope and validity can be addressed through the appropriate exchange channel.
Contact the existing BAAS Compliance mailbox and request referral to the person responsible for the matter. It is a general company mailbox, not an anonymous reporting service. Request a suitable channel before sending sensitive material.
04 / CONTACT & CONCERNS
For documentation requests, partner requirements or questions about an enquiry, contact BAAS and identify the relevant product or business relationship.
Use the Compliance mailbox to request referral of a compliance concern. Give a brief factual description, the relevant reference and a way to contact you. Avoid classified information or sensitive attachments in the first message.
Request compliance referralFor sensitive matters, request an appropriate exchange channel first. Anonymous reporting and restricted access are not guaranteed by this mailbox.
