Ask BAAS chat privacy

This notice explains what happens when you use the Ask BAAS assistant. Please do not enter personal, confidential or commercially sensitive information.

Information sent

When you send a message, your question, chosen language, relevant page context and up to six recent chat messages are sent to the BAAS website server. The assistant may also use relevant published catalogue information to prepare an answer.

External AI processing

Depending on the server configuration and the type of question, BAAS may send your question, recent chat context and relevant published catalogue text to OpenAI or Cloudflare Workers AI to generate or interpret a response. Some questions are answered by the website without an external AI request. The active provider may change with the website configuration.

Chat history and retention

The chat interface keeps up to 30 messages in your browser’s session storage so the conversation remains available during the browser session. Up to six recent messages may be included in a new request. Server, hosting and external provider records may be subject to their own operational retention settings; this notice does not promise a fixed deletion period.

Your choice

You can use the published catalogue without using the chat. Do not send confidential details in the assistant. For questions about this notice or a privacy request, email office@baascorp.com
